About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly designated CPA who's ready to step up from Senior Accountant into a management position. As Accounting Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and consolidations across multiple entities. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you'll gain exposure to cross-border reporting, corporate governance, and process improvement initiatives within a sophisticated, multinational setting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes for several Canadian entities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Review and mentor accounting staff, providing technical guidance and oversight.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and applicable standards (ASPE or IFRS).
  • Identify and implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate with operations and finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc projects.
  • Contribute to new investment analyses, acquisitions, and integration initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
  • CPA designation (recently obtained or near completion).
  • 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems.
