Company Description
A&A Marine Foods Group is a growing group of companies primarily comprising of a fresh-water fish processing company and commercial fishing companies operating in a newly constructed facility in Tilbury, Ontario. A&A Marine Foods Group has experienced growth since its inception in 2011 and has created a culture that values long-standing employees and excellence in quality and customer service.
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking accounting manager to join our growing team. We are seeking a candidate with strong communication skills, detail oriented and have good time management skills. Our fast-paced office requires the ideal candidate to be able to multi-task, work independently, as well as in a team, and be well organized.
Responsibilities:
Review and process payroll, maintain payroll records and any related filings;
Process accounts payable invoices and payments;
Review the status of accounts receivable balances;
Ensure compliance with government remittances including source deductions, EHT, WSIB, HST, corporate tax and other regulatory filings;
Perform and ensure monthly reconciliations of key general ledger accounts, including but not limited to, bank reconciliations, visa reconciliations and intercompany accounts;
Prepare monthly financial reports for management;
Review petty cash reconciliations and process transactions at month end;
Create and maintain filing systems, both hard and electronic copies;
Assist with the preparation of documentation for government reporting;
Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for office operations; and,
Other assigned duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Accounting Diploma and/or University Degree with a major in accounting;
CPA Designation or proof of enrollment would be an asset;
Experience in computerized accounting software, Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word, experience in Sage 50 would be an asset;
Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills;
Problem solver, works well independently and as part of a team;
Post-secondary business administration and/or accounting education is an asset; and,
Dedicated, motivated and hardworking individual with a strong attention to detail.

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
