Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the full spectrum of our accounting operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing AR/AP, tax filings, financial reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, hands-on leadership experience, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee full-cycle accounting operations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Handle tax filings, including HST, payroll deductions, WSIB, T4s, and year-end compliance Conduct bank reconciliations, process payments, reimbursements, and maintain general ledger entries Supervise and mentor finance team members to improve accuracy and performance Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and government agencies for audits and compliance Provide financial insights and reporting to support business decisions Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by senior leadership

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in Canada plus 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role Proficient in full-cycle bookkeeping, tax reporting, AR/AP, and financial statement preparation Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle NetSuite is an asset In-depth understanding of CRA regulations and corporate compliance Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA is preferred Highly detail-oriented, organized, and reliable with strong time management and interpersonal skills
