We are currently seeking an
experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Manager
to join our head office, located at
15200 Knox Way, Richmond, BC
. The ideal candidate is ethical, reliable, highly organized, and committed to accuracy and continuous improvement. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operation, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; ensure timely collections and payments
Process customer credit application
Prepare journal entries; review general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany transactions
Perform bank reconciliations
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare working papers
Conduct cost and variance analyses
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Monitor cash flow
Ensure compliance with government reporting and tax filings (GST, PST, WCB, etc.)
Maintain and update employee database
Process non-union payroll through Ceridian
Administer employee benefit plans
Review union remittance reports and respond to union inquiries
Provide guidance to team members, explain procedures, and resolve accounting issues
Review and update policies and documentation; identify and implement process improvements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field
Minimum
5 years of relevant accounting experience
(manufacturing preferred)
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
Proficiency with QuickBooks, ERP systems, or other accounting software
Advanced Excel skills
Exceptional time-management skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work on-site and travel between two facilities; reliable transportation is required (location is not transit-accessible)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
