Job Purpose
: The Accounting Manager is responsible for providing financial, administration and clerical services for the company to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
Education/Experience:
Completed a professional accounting designation CPA, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce, 5-8 years progressive accounting experience and payroll experience. Experience working with Easypay Payroll Software, Sage 100 ERP, and Microsoft Office.

Organize and lead the month end close procedures with accounting staff. Prepare monthly financial statements & financial analysis for operating company, including all balance sheet accounts and bank statement reconciliations and related journal entries in accordance with ASPE.
Reviews financial statements for holding company prepared by Senior Accountant.
Prepare the year end files for operating company and act as the liaison for external accountants.
Organize and lead the annual inventory count with the warehouse Manager and warehouse staff.
Prepares Semi-monthly company payroll, confirms attendance, manage benefits administration and prepare related journal entries. Prepares annual T4's and ROE's as required.
Prepares and submits monthly and quarterly regulatory filings including source deductions, GST, QST, PST, EHT and WCB.
Reviews AR aging and follows up on overdue accounts, resolve discrepancies regarding short payments and disputes.
Manage a staff of two, assists the owner in the hiring, training, evaluating, supervising and termination of department personnel. Mentors accounting staff when required.
Acts as administrator for Sage 100 ERP and 3CX phone system, setup users, roles and permissions.
Vacation coverage for other accounting staff when required.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Participates in team projects to streamline and enhance work performance.
Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures. Works with Operations to define measure, analyze, improve and control processes which impact customer quality and influence inter operating efficiency.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
