Accounting Manager - Public Practice Responsibilities:
Manage Client Engagements: Lead and review assurance and compilation engagements across a diverse client base, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are consistently met.
Tax Oversight: Prepare and review corporate and personal tax filings; identify planning opportunities and ensure full compliance with CRA guidelines.
Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior accountants and staff, supporting their development and ensuring effective collaboration on engagements.
Client Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights and proactive solutions that support clients' business and financial goals.
Technical Excellence: Maintain strong working knowledge of ASPE, tax legislation, and public accounting standards to uphold firm and regulatory best practices.
Accounting Manager - Public Practice Qualifications
CPA designation (required)
5+ years of experience in public practice, with a strong understanding of Canadian accounting and tax regulations
Demonstrated ability to manage engagements and provide leadership within a team
Proficiency in ASPE and experience with both corporate and personal tax files
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a client-first approach
