We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client in North Vancouver, British Columbia. This is an excellent 6-month contract within the transport industry, where you will play a key role in overseeing full-cycle accounting operations and contributing to financial accuracy and process improvements. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is adept at managing complex financial systems.
Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting tasks, including preparation of journal entries, month-end close processes, and general ledger maintenance.

• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate inventory management and compliance.

• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal control systems and business processes to meet regulatory standards.

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and enhance organizational performance.

• Partner with the FP& A team for analyses and provide insights into financial trends.

• Implement strategies for continuous process improvement to enhance financial workflows.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all accounting and reporting functions.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for financial audits and year-end reporting.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting staff as needed.

Requirements:

• CPA designation required

• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle Fusion, MS Dynamics 365.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including experience with specialized functions.

• Strong understanding of internal controls and cross-functional collaboration between operations and accounting.

• Proven ability to work independently and suggest effective solutions.

• Solid background in full-cycle accounting and financial analysis.

• Experience in manufacturing or transport industries is considered an asset.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
