We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in New Westminster, British Columbia. In this 3 month contract position, you will play a key role in handling a special project related to forecasting revenue for the business and providing recommendations whilst simultaneously managing financial operations, and overseeing the finance team of 3. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong financial analysis expertise and a keen understanding of data analytics.
Responsibilities:

• Develop a thorough understanding of union dues structures and their impact on organizational revenues.
• Conduct detailed analysis of revenue drivers to identify trends and propose actionable insights.
• Evaluate the quality and availability of financial data to streamline processes and enhance reporting.
• Supervise and coordinate the finance team in preparing accurate monthly financial statements.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the Executive Director as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to build tailored financial models and propose key assumptions.
• Work closely with the data analyst and administrative manager to optimize system-related processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards and organizational policies.

• Proven experience in both accounting and financial analysis with a strong accounting background.
• Ability to critically analyze union dues structures and assess their impact on revenues.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including building financial models
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate risks, statistical variances, and macroeconomic variables.
• Detail-oriented demeanor and understanding of union environments and member-based organizations.
