Accounting Manager

to join our team and manage our financial operations.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager will oversee all financial aspects of the company, bringing significant bookkeeping experience, especially in construction accounting. This role will involve managing our accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance while providing financial insights to support our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Process weekly payroll and ensure compliance with all payroll regulations. Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions. Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets. Handle union remittances and ensure compliance with union regulations. Develop and maintain job costing reports to track project profitability. Prepare cash flow projections and forecasting to aid in financial planning. Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and support for ongoing projects. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in construction accounting and bookkeeping. Strong understanding of job costing, payroll, and financial reporting within the construction industry. Proficiency in accounting software and tools, particularly those relevant to the construction sector. Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
