Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to effectively take responsibility and ownership of core accounting operations in our modern-day craft brewery and eateries. Born out of a passion for great beer and the desire to serve the communities we call home, Trading Post brewing is looking for a motivated individual to join our growing team. The role of Accounting Manager includes managing our existing accounting team to ensure transaction processes and recording, maintaining process efficiency and improvement, populate financial reports, and ensure all regulatory and tax filings are submitted on time. The ideal candidate has industry experience leading and supporting accounting teams. They should be a collaborative team player with a passion for the hospitality industry. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Populating and formatting monthly, quarterly & year end close processes
• Coaching, developing, mentoring & managing accounting team on a day-to-day basis
• Ensuring proper controls are in place & improve as needed
• Certifying that month end accounts are accurate & reconciled
• Reporting & analyzing financial results
• Oversee end-to-end payroll operations including benefits accounting & tax filings
• Maintaining & organizing accounting records ensuring compliance
• Focusing on continuing improvement of accounting processes & system automation
• Annual budgeting

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience including people management
• Experience in hospitality, craft beer &/or restaurant industries
• Previous experience with payroll oversight or processing
• Proficiency in evaluating, implementing & enhancing accounting tools & systems
• Reliability & capability to drive timely issue resolution
• Troubleshooting & critical thinking skills
