The Opportunity



As our

Accounting Manager

, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial strength and integrity of our U.S. and Canadian operations. This is a highly impactful position where you'll oversee accurate financial reporting, lead cost accounting activities, and drive compliance with internal controls and external standards.

You'll work closely with the Director of Finance--providing backup support when needed--while also contributing to manufacturing finance initiatives that shape the future of our operations. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong leadership skills, a solid foundation in accounting principles, and a deep understanding of financial processes in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities



General Accounting & Financial Reporting

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal policies.

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Support

Track and analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead. Support inventory valuation and standard cost updates. Collaborate with operations to improve cost efficiency and reporting.

Credit Card & Expense Management

Oversee credit card allocations, approvals, and reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate expense reporting.

Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management

Perform regular bank reconciliations. Monitor cash flow and resolve discrepancies.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis. Support department heads in budget adherence and forecasting.

Holding Company & Loan Reconciliation

Maintain accurate records for holding company assets and depreciation. Process and reconcile loan payments and schedules.

Audit & Compliance

Prepare documentation for internal and external audits. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure tax/regulatory compliance.

Director of Finance Backup & Leadership

Serve as backup to the Director of Finance during absences or peak periods. Management of AR, AP, and related accounting staff, and support of cross-functional collaboration.

Position Requirements



Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. 5+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience required. 3+ years of related leadership experience required. CPA or CMA preferred. Proficient in Excel and experience with ERP systems (Epicor is an asset). Experience with cross-border transactions or multi-currency accounting is a plus.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
