The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role involves managing a small team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
? Financial Reporting and Analysis:
o Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statements, balance sheets).
o Present financial results and insights to senior management.
o Ensure all financial reports are prepared in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
? Team Leadership and Management:
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
o Manage the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger.
? Accounting Operations:
o Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
o Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
o Oversee the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and integrity.
o Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
? System and Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
o Collaborate with other departments to implement new systems and technologies.
? Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
? Education:
o CPA designation completed or near completion of the CPA program
? Experience:
o Minimum of 3-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
o Proven experience in a supervisory or management role.
o Previous experience in the Real Estate industry is a plus.
? Skills:
o Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
o Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
o Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
