The Opportunity
As Accounting Manager, you will be accountable for the accounting, financial analysis, financial internal and external reporting, assess and maintain internal controls. You will also be a key business partner/trusted advisor to other department leads providing financial analysis, support of business case preparation for key growth or cost saving initiatives, creating departmental budgets and monitoring results.
Responsibilities
- Complete monthly and annual close including reconciliations, account analysis and financial statement preparation
- Support all operations of the finance department, including but not limited to banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Ensure timely remittance of all government related filings
- Analyze and Report weekly KPI reports for the business and various ad hoc reports and analysis
- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, processes, controls and continually seeking process improvements
- Monitor and report on departmental budgets
- Support the external audit and corporate tax filings
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in full cycle accounting, analysis, financial reporting and tax filings
- CPA designated or in pursuit of CPA designation is preferred
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and policies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- High level of initiative, problem solving skills and independent thinker
- Advanced computer skills on MS office, accounting software and databases
Additional Information
- This position reports to the Controller
- This is a full-time position operating Monday to Friday with additional overtime hours in peak seasons
- This position is eligible to operate under a flexible work hours and may be elgible for the hybrid arrangement following the completion of the training period
