Support Office | Full-Time



As an integral member of the Finance team, the Accounting Manager provides hands-on leadership in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and supporting the integration of newly acquired clinics. Based at our Calgary Support Office, this role is key to streamlining processes, enhancing internal controls, and fostering the development of a high-performing accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will play a critical role in supporting Passion Dental Group's (PDG) continued growth and operational excellence.



What you'll Do:



Assist with the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger maintenance, month-end, and year-end close, and internal reporting. Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with relevant analysis and commentary. Support integration of new clinic acquisitions, including pre- and post-acquisition financial onboarding (banking, AR setup, commission and revenue processes). Assist in the preparation of working papers and reconciliations for internal and external reporting, including audits and tax filings. Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers, additions, disposals, and continuity schedules. Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead automation or efficiency initiatives across the finance function. Collaborate with leadership and operations to deliver financial insights, performance analysis, and ad hoc reporting. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (ASPE). Day-to-day Treasury management and Administration of software/platform access.

What You Bring:



CPA designation and Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in a multi-location, high-growth environment is an asset. Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting under ASPE. Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with cloud-based platforms preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across teams.
