We're looking for an Accounting Generalist to join our Finance team based in the 8330 Chester St. office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Director of Accounting and Finance.



Job Overview:



The Accounting Generalist is responsible for day-to-day financial operations. They are responsible for performing their duties in accordance with standard policies and procedures.



You will have the opportunity to:



Manage and track daily cash deposits of all sales channels. Coordinate with banks to deal with and resolve any discrepancies. Coordinate with other departments for requests of all sales channels and accounting related tasks. Assist our retail, eCommerce, Groups & Fundraising, and Customer Service teams as needed Assist with daily bank deposits and mail sorting . Perform reconciliations of various accounts receivables; as well as assisting Intermediate Accountants with multiple bank reconciliations and adjustments. Process monthly/quarterly tax remittances. Prepare journal entries and periodic adjustments. Provide support within the team and all other departments.

You will be a good fit if you:



Have a post secondary education in accounting and finance and one year of experience in a high-volume environment. Experience in manufacturing and/or retail is considered an asset. Have attention to detail and accuracy and enjoy working with numbers. Have great problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze financial data. Have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders and departments. Have a strong ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. Have good knowledge of accounting and financial processes. Are well organized, team member who can prioritize work Have working knowledge of MS office, advanced Excel skills is an asset.
