Job Description

tNAi Engineering is an engineering consulting firm primary working with temporary structures. Our clients are mostly forming companies with some work done for general contractors and developers.

Familiarity with the construction industry and a basic understanding of forming is an asset

An ability to handle communication with busy, fast talking construction clients would be an advantage

You will be joining a team of 7 engineers, 14 designers and 2 admin staff. We run a very casual office environment and most of our employees have been with us long term (5+ years)

This position is only open to those looking for a full time job and are already living in the Vancouver area

We are looking to hire an accounting clerk to manage the following

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly. Prepare and process batches of invoices for data entry in accounting software (Sage). Maintain and update accounting records and files. Manage receivable accounts and follow up with clients regarding late payments Manage and track expense reports and reimbursements. Assist in payroll processing Assist in the preparation of tax returns and audits. Manage payments via cheques, EFTs, and wire transfers, ensuring on-time completion. Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing and payments. Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Support the finance team with other accounting duties as needed. Support the administrative team with file management and other administrative duties such as scanning and filing.
The successful candidate is someone who has:
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data entry or administrative roles (construction accounting experience is an asset).

Education: Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred). Technical: Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and accounting software (Sage experience an asset). Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry; professional verbal and written communication skills; adaptability to work in an old fashioned paper focused environment while also able to assist with a switch to a more digital system
