Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, with a primary focus on

accurate data entry

,

accounts payable processing

,

warranty registration

, and

labor/payroll allocation

. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in Quickbooks and Excel and gain valuable experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and account reconciliation.

Accounting & Data Entry

Enter accounts payable invoices into the accounting system with accuracy and proper coding. Prepare vendor statements for review and help reconcile discrepancies.

Payroll & Job Cost Allocation

Review weekly technician timecards for accuracy and completeness. Allocate labor hours to appropriate jobs, work orders, or cost centers. Assist with correcting coding or time entries as needed before payroll processing. Support bi-weekly payroll preparation tasks.

Warranty Registration & Support

Submit equipment warranty registrations for installed HVAC equipment through manufacturer portals. Maintain warranty files and documentation for internal records.

Administrative Support - As Required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable, general payroll Experience with Quickbooks preferred Experience with Excel preferred Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently are required Strong verbal and written communication skills
