Cobalt Construction Inc is seeking additional full-time, year-round Accounting Clerks to join our team here in Whitehorse, Yukon. As our company continues to grow we have more accounting roles to fill. Ideal candidates will be able and willing to assist and fill in for any of the primary accounting roles including Payroll and Accounts Payable. Applicants must be able to demonstrate past accounting/finance experience. This position reports to the Office Manager and work directly with Payroll Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk and reception. The main priority of this individual will be to provide support to the Accounting Team to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial information. Successful applicants will enjoy competitive wages and health benefits. **Please note only Canadian residents eligible to work in Canada will be considered for this role** Daily Responsibilities: Assist with data entry to meet semi-monthly payroll deadlines Assist with data entry to ensure accounts payable invoices are correctly entered and job costed Enter credit card data and perform monthly reconciliation to statements Reconciliation of Petty Cash receipts Filing Fill in periodically for reception Knowledge and Skills required: Experience with accounting data entry Experience with Data input into Sage 50 Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to prioritize workload and adjust to shifting priorities Ability to pay attention to detail information Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment Ability to learn new accounting programs Knowledge of heavy equipment is an asset but not mandatory \xe2\x80\x93 We can teach you everything you need to know about construction!
