We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented

Accounting Clerk

to join our team. This position ensures accurate and timely financial record-keeping for a diverse portfolio of properties and development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices and payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall administrative functions of the team.


In this role, you will manage both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy and approval, issuing receivables, processing chargebacks, and ensuring all financial transactions are appropriately coded and posted. You will also be responsible for making bank deposits and booking receipts to keep ledgers current. For certain entities, you will maintain a simple set of books.

Key Responsibilities



Ensuring invoices are reviewed and verified for accuracy and approval before processing for payment; Ensuring payables and receivables are approved for posting and correctly coded and dated; Issuing accounts receivable invoices; Promptly depositing cheques, doing bank runs and booking receipts to ensure ledger is updated in a timely manner; Maintaining a simple set of books for some of our entities; Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial transactions and supporting documentation; and Providing general administrative support to the accounting department including photocopying, filing, sorting, organizing, and retrieving data and documents as requested by accountants.

What You Bring



Completion of College diploma or certificate in Accounting; Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly with Excel; 1 year experience working in a professional office environment; Experience providing accurate and timely AP/AR functions is an asset; Highly organized and detailed in performing their duties; Efficient and effective time management, demonstrating ability to meet deadlines while producing quality and accurate work; Demonstrates the ability to learn quickly and multi-task priorities; and Strong communication skills, written and verbal, to develop positive professional relationships.

Salary Range:

$56,000 - $64,000
