Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Stratford, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our accounting department with various tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. This position requires a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with accounting software.
Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with preparing month-end journal entries.
• Handle Accounts Payable tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.
• Input high volumes of data with precision and attention to detail.
• Transfer and organize financial information using accounting software and Excel.
• Verify customs data and reconcile accounts to reflect price changes accurately.
• Match and cross-reference information across multiple systems to ensure consistency.
• Assist with various accounting projects to support departmental needs.
• Collaborate with team members to address workload challenges and meet deadlines.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in performing account reconciliations and handling Accounts Payable processes.
• Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Familiarity with accounting software, including Sage and Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
