Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Scarborough, Ontario. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and skilled individual with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting systems.
Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure financial records are complete and up-to-date.
• Verify, prepare, and process invoices for billing purposes.
• Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle invoice processing and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Utilize accounting software, such as Sage 50 or similar systems, to manage financial data.
• Generate financial reports and assist in preparing documentation for audits.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Support the accounting team with other administrative and financial tasks as needed.
• Minimum of 3 years of in-office accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with accounting software, preferably Sage 50 or a similar platform.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data management.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
