Robert Half is seeking a skilled candidate for an Accounting Clerk position at a department.The Accounting Clerk position will require matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position located in the Pembroke, Ontario area.What you get to do every day:-Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects-Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing-Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes-Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers-Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required-Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources-Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit-Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel-Billing experience-Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)-Solid understanding of account reconciliation-SAP experience highly preferred-Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)-General familiarity with Oracle-Experience with data entry-Adeptness in Invoice Processing-Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system-Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work-AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred-2+ years of relevant experiencePlease call 1 (613) 249-9088 if this role is for youRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
