Job Description

We are providing an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including processing accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and invoice processing. Strong knowledge of debit and credits, as well as familiarity with accounting software such as Sage 50, is critical for this role.Responsibilities:-Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions-Ensure customer credit applications are processed efficiently-Maintain and update customer credit records-Use accounting software such as Sage 50 for data entry and invoice processing-Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues-Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary-Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting-Use software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks-Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting-Undertake other ad hoc duties as required in the accounting department.-A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry-Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, and Invoice Processing-Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Excel-Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills-Strong numerical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards-Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal-Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is advantageousRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
