Job Description

We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Fergus, Ontario. In this role, you will be tasked with providing vital accounting and clerical support to our accounting department. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity within our industry.Responsibilities:

• Assist our accounting department by providing clerical support

• Ensure accuracy in data entry and in processing supplier invoices

• Maintain an organized financial filing system for efficient data retrieval

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create reports

• Conduct account reconciliations for various accounts

• Timely and accurate processing of customer payments and invoices

• Set up new vendors in the system and manage daily AR transactions

• Promptly respond to and resolve issues raised in emails from both internal and external customers

• Candidate must possess minimum 2 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is required
• Must have experience in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong skills in Billing and Invoice Processing are necessary
• Candidate should be adept at Data Entry
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are needed
• Ability to work accurately with attention to detail is essential
• Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures is required
• Strong numerical skills are necessary for this role
• Good communication and team working skills are essential.
