We are currently recruiting for our client in the Elmira area. As an accounting clerk, you will calculate and process bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, budgets and other financial records using manual and computerized systems. This position is immediate and not suitable for students.Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts
payable invoicing.
Daily reconciling PO vs AP invoices to reduce /eliminate price & quantity variances.
Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying,
Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
Ensuring AP outstanding invoices are entered into ERP systems and update AP aging reports.
Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
Scan AP/ invoices & Packing slips to ERP system and maintain UpToDate records.
Reconciliation of vendor accounts and company credit card statements
Frequently download invoices from the relevant websites and daily checking accounting emails
Maintains records by organizing & filling AP/AR invoices, credit card & vendor statements.
Collection of overdue invoices by communicating customers and resolve AP payment inquiries.
Data entry - using computer software to enter transactions, generate documents, and update
customer information requires typing skills and a high level of accuracy.
Maintaining records of all invoices, reports, receipts by saving documents properly on the network
Arrange outgoing cheques, mail picking and cash deposits as needed.
Backup General Office admin role when needed.
Daily analyze AP transactions and maintain accuracy of AP balances.Complete AP & AR works in an accurate and orderly manner.
Email/Fax AR invoices to customers and resolve/perform other customers' requests.
Setting up of new customer/Vendor accounts, troubleshooting discrepancies and replying to
customer/Vendor inquiries
Answer Phones and other general administrative requirements for
