Position Details:
Role: Accounting Clerk
Location: Toronto
Hourly: $25-$27/hour
Contract role with potential to move permanent
Key Responsibilities:
Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and verify invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain and update accounting ledgers and databases.
Assist with payroll processing and tax documentation as needed.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing issues.
Perform general administrative duties related to the accounting function.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
