Job Description

:
Our client in Calgary is seeking a contract Accounting Clerk to support their accounting team with AP/AR functions and general bookkeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer payments and conduct collection calls
  • Review customer accounts and assess credit holds
  • Enter and verify vendor invoices; obtain payment approvals
  • Prepare cheque disbursements
  • Reconcile vendor and customer statements; resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end close and general accounting support
  • Maintain organized digital records of all AP/AR transactions
  • Ad-hoc duties as requested
Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Diploma, degree, or certificate in Accounting/Business
  • Experience with QuickBooks and ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficient in MS Office
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Available to start immediately
