This Accounting Clerk Position Features:

This role is available 2-3 days per week, or 5 half days (mornings) per week and may lead to permanent.

This position is primarily responsible for the efficient processing of payables for various entities under the direction of Chief Financial Officer and/or General Accountant. Additional responsibilities include organization of accounting records/files and ad-hoc reports for year end purposes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in Accounts Payable of at least 2 years, ideally in a project or construction based environment
  • Strong computer skills, including experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Experienced in the use of Jonas Enterprise Accounting software
  • Ability to resolve issues
  • Administrative skills including the ability to review and understand various kinds of paperwork.
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Good verbal communication skills including the ability to relate to various levels up and down the organization as well as with suppliers and customers.
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Skills in Time Management
  • Ability to develop rapport and display good interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self starter - displays initiative
  • Works well in a small team environment
