Scope
The Accounting Clerk 1 is responsible for routine accounting and clerical work, including, processing and reconciling hired equipment invoices, processing contract payments, and handling monthly purchase-card (Visa) reconciliations. This position reports to the Business Enhancement Department in the Engineering Department at the Surrey Operations Centre.
Responsibilities
Process refund requests.
Generate invoices and collecting payments.
Reconciliation and adjustment of sub ledger accounts.
Process timely and accurate data entry.
Process payments according to city policies.
Prepare year-end working papers.
Other job duties may be assigned according to operational requirements. The Accounting Clerk 1 will communicate frequently with other City departments and external parties to provide assistance and answer general enquiries.
