We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting overall accounting operations. Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Windows, MS Word, MS Outlook
Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve them promptly
Assist with payroll processing and related reporting tasks
Prepare financial reports and statements for management review
Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and revenues
Maintain organized financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations
Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation
Qualifications
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Windows, MS Word, MS Outlook
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
Experience with payroll processing and related compliance requirements is preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial reporting standards
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Relevant certifications or degrees in accounting or finance are a plus
Education; college, CEGEP or other non- university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 year or equivalent experience.
