Duties

Accounting Associate

Preparation of the year end engagement file for compilation, review, and audit engagements. Including but not limited to the following: Preparation of journal entries, bookkeeping and supporting documentation in the client file Financial Statement preparation Preparation of the Corporate income tax return and other applicable tax information slips Preparation of personal income tax returns Administrative support as required

Skills (preferable but not required)

Experience with Microsoft word/excel Experience with CaseWare Experience with tax software(s) Experience with bookkeeping software, such as QB Online and Xero accounting General accounting knowledge via degree/diploma or other accounting courses completed Experience in corresponding with clients in a professional setting Technical, detail oriented, problem solver, and a good manager of their time

Qualifications (preferable but not required)

1-3 years of experience in a public practice firm Completion of a post-secondary certificate, accounting diploma or degree

Salary

$50,000 - $70,000 (dependent on experience)
