Brimich is a family owned and operated 3PL & warehousing company. We are a growing organization and currently looking for a

Accounting Associate (8 Month Contract) to join our winning team in

Brantford and help our business grow and improve.

The ideal candidate will have experience with accounts payable and general accounting and proficiency with MS Excel, having strong analytical skills. This role will be a key support to the existing accounting team and the individual will report directly to the Controller and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment. - we want to chat with you!

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:



Accounts Payable support including invoice entry in NetSuite and approval management. Own Michelle Fergus Biling, transaction postings and general ledgers reconciliation in QuickBooks. Provide support to the rest of the team as required and, in their absence. Ownership of the credit card process Act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile vendor discrepancies. Prepare BTI Invoice & billing TMS file uploads as required. Assist with monthly closings and finalizing monthly financial statements. Assist with year-end closings. Assist with accounts receivable and customer statement reconciliations. Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process. Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Any other business as assigned by the Controller or her designee.

Job Specifications--Skills and Competencies:



Hands-on experience working with accounts payables, reconciling accounts, and maintaining schedules. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Deadline-driven Problem analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to take initiative where appropriate. Ability to maintain and keep confidentiality regarding internal and customer information.

Education & Training Requirements



An undergraduate degree/diploma in business, accounting, and/or related financial education background. CPA not required. 2+ years related experience preferred. Proficient with NetSuite and QuickBooks is not necessary but will be an asset Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel also a plus.
