Job Description

Objectives

:

To provide a range of bookkeeping and accounting functions including posting transactions, preparing vendor disbursement schedules, and reconciling balance sheet accounts

To work with accounting software, point of sales software, server tip distribution software, inventory and vendor invoice management software and other related applications

To respond to telephone and other inquiries from customers, vendors, employees as needed

Accounting functions



To set up and maintain accurate advanced deposits

To set up and maintain accurate vendor records and process vehicle and other operating expenses on a timely basis

To review vendor's invoices for properly applied tax and product line categories

To review event financials/receipts and properly distribute event gratuities

To reconcile daily revenue receipts to bank deposits from point-of-sale merchants

To prepare and maintain remittances to the Receiver General

To reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts and credit card accounts on a monthly basis

Reporting



To issue weekly Accounts Payable reports

To issue monthly advanced deposits summaries

Education and experience



Minimum 2-year diploma in related field, accounting/payroll designation

Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience

Must have excellent computer skills and be willing to upgrade skills as necessary

Technical proficiency



Must have excellent computer skills and be willing to upgrade skills as necessary

Minimum of two years experience in Quickbooks (preferred), minimum of 3 years experience with other accounting software

Familiarity with other operational software (project management, CRM, etc.)

Ability to transform finance function to 95% digitization

Other Skills/Abilities:



Must have strong organization skills and be willing to perform in a multi-task environment where priorities change quickly

Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Post-Secondary Education in Accounting
