DKI - Pro Pacific specializes in commercial and residential disaster restoration services. When our clients experience a fire, flood or other disaster, natural or man-made, we respond 24/7/365 to help them recover and get things back to normal.

We are locally owned & operated, with our industry roots going back to 1969 and branches across Vancouver Island.

We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Assistant based out of Parksville.

What you will do:

This part-time role supports the Accounting Manager in the provision of accounting services to multiple stakeholders involved in the management of numerous small to medium size projects. Specifically, it will:

Support Project Office personnel in ensuring the invoicing process is completed effectively. Project Job Costing. Monitor AR and provide feedback to the Project Office and Project Managers on progress and any follow up required. Receive/review all incoming invoices, coding accurately, and keep payables up to date. Complete payment activities as necessary. Support the semi-monthly payroll process. Support various aspects of month end close.

What you will bring:

Completion of post-secondary training/education with an accounting focus. Bookkeeping/accounting experience in an operational environment. Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment. Strong computer literacy including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with construction job management software is an asset. Effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. A high degree of accuracy Superior customer service skills. 5+ years of experience. Valid BC driver's License and reliable transportation.
