Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team on a part time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing key accounting tasks, including data entry, matching packing slips to invoices, and ensuring accuracy with our inventory system. Key Responsibilities:



Data Entry:

Accurately enter accounting data into Quickbooks, including invoices, payments, and other financial records.

Invoice & Packing Slip Matching:

Verify that packing slips and invoices match, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all transactions.

Inventory System Management:

Ensure that all inventory records are updated correctly, and discrepancies are identified and addressed promptly.

Reconciliation Support:

Assist in monthly and quarterly reconciliations by reviewing financial data and identifying any discrepancies.

Document Organization:

Maintain organized records of invoices, packing slips, purchase orders, and other related documents for easy access and retrieval.

Communication:

Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and other internal teams to resolve any invoicing or inventory discrepancies.

Reporting:

Assist in preparing and generating financial reports as needed for the accounting team and management.

Other Duties:

Assist with general administrative duties within the accounting department as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Attention to Detail:

Strong ability to spot discrepancies and ensure accuracy in data entry, documentation, and inventory records.

Multitasking:

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising the quality of work or deadlines.

Time Management:

Efficiently prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients.

Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational abilities to manage and maintain detailed records of accounting and inventory data.

Tech-Savvy:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software (experience with Quickbooks is a plus).

Experience:

At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, administrative, or related fields.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
