Our long-standing client is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accounting Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting, strong technical proficiency, and the confidence to navigate multiple software platforms with ease. A sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach are key to thriving in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:

• Prepare and issue invoices, process payments, and manage customer accounts.
• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries and account statuses.
• Generate and analyze AR aging and other financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve customer account issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within AR functions.

Education:

• Post secondary education in a relevant industry is considered an asset.

Experience:

• 2+ years experience in an accounting (or similar) role is required.

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Multitasking and ability to prioritize numerous tasks.
• Conflict resolution and customer service.
• Self-directed and confident.

Base Salary: $20 - 25 per hour

• Salary based on experience

Work Hours:

• 35 hours per week
• Monday to Friday

Remote Work:

• This position is not remote and required to be on-site.

Additional Notes:

• This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
