Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Duties:
- Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
- Assist with accounts receivable duties, including invoicing and collections
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct credit analysis for new and existing clients
- Accurately input data using 10-key typing skills
- Prepare and post journal entries
Experience:
- Previous experience as an accounting clerk or assistant preferred
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
