Accounting Technician ( 15 month- maternity cover)
Location- cambridge- down the street from our office
Working model- option to work full time or part time hours- either 5 days- 8:30-4:30 PM
Salary- between $60-70K for full time or $28- 33/hour

Igloo Installations Inc. specializes in supply and installs of building envelopes with our primary focus on Insulated Metal Panels. Since 2009, Igloo Installations Inc. has been providing solutions for construction by supplying and installing Insulated Metal Panels (IMP). Our project scope includes cold storage, food production, commercial and industrial in the Greater Toronto and Kitchener Waterloo areas.
Role:
The Accounting Technician role is a mat leave cover for a minimum of 15 months with a possibility to turn permanent ( depending on how the company is growing). The biggest sell for them is their culture and the family like environment. They are about 35 employees and 8 people in office. Reports to Jennifer ( CPA- controller). Owner- Richard and his son.
Wants someone to take over entire payroll (non-union), weekly, HR- Admin tasks like benefits, new employee onboarding, ROEs. Also assisting with AP and AR functions but primarily around Payroll. They want someone with strong comms as they will be in touch with the construction people. Software- QuickBooks Desktop.

Reporting to a Controller, you will be a vital part of the team, ensuring efficient financial and administrative operations. The role demands strong communication skills, as you will frequently interact with various internal stakeholders, including construction personnel.
Responsibilities:

• Manage comprehensive non-union payroll processing on a weekly cycle.
• Administer key HR functions, including benefits coordination, new employee onboarding, and Records of Employment (ROEs).
• Provide essential support for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, with a primary focus on payroll operations.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all departments, particularly field teams.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Demonstrated strong knowledge and hands-on experience in non-union payroll processing.
• Experience using QuickBooks Desktop.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, crucial for internal collaboration.
• Available to start right away and commit to the contract duration
