Accountant

to support our financial operations and contribute to the continued success of our business.

Position Overview:



As the Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with tax regulations, supporting management in financial decision-making, and helping streamline our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments Monitor daily cash flow and perform bank reconciliations Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations and policies Support the management team with financial reports and budgeting Maintain and track inventory and equipment depreciation schedules Provide financial analysis and recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and business growth Liaise with external auditors and financial institutions as required

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Excel High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of trucking industry financials (e.g., fuel costs, driver payroll, vehicle maintenance) is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
