This role sits within LBC Tech, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.

The incumbent is responsible for the analysis and reconciliation of a number of line of products. This includes daily balance sheet reconciliation of the internal platform and ensuring the previous day\'s work by various Operations teams and Settlement teams are properly accounted for.

Responsibilities


\xc2\xba Reconciles daily the suspense/internal accounts related to a number of line of products.
\xc2\xba Investigates without delay any irregularities or variances.
\xc2\xba Communicates and collaborates with various Operations teams and/or Settlement teams to process changes to clear outstanding items.
\xc2\xba Prepares reclass and adjusting journal entries when required.
\xc2\xba Creates and updates procedures and policies.
\xc2\xba Assists in the preparation of Quarterly Folder for Certification Letter sign off.
\xc2\xba Provides support on internal and external audits.
\xc2\xba Monitors the group mailbox and responds to requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
\xc2\xba Supports the sorting and daily distribution of mail.
\xc2\xba Maintains good working relationships with internal and external clients to better achieve the department\'s objectives.
\xc2\xba Escalates and makes recommendations to the appropriate authority about any inquiries or issues that are beyond their scope.
\xc2\xba Verifies own work for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, and ensures compliance with internal and external audit and regulatory requirements.
\xc2\xba Completes daily workload within strict timeframes and addresses any issues with supervisor.
\xc2\xba Submits recommendations to improve work processes to the supervisor.
\xc2\xba Keeps abreast of legislation, policies, and procedures, which relate to products and services.

Qualifications


\xc2\xba University Degree in a related field and 2 years of related experience in a similar environment; or, College Diploma and 3 to 5 years of related experience in a similar environment.
\xc2\xba Bilingual (French) verbal and written communication skills are assets.
\xc2\xba Enrolled in a professional accounting designation program is a strong asset.
\xc2\xba Solid knowledge of banking, mortgage, investment loan, self-directed, securities, and other lending products.
\xc2\xba Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
\xc2\xba Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with multiple partners across the Bank.
\xc2\xba Able to work in a high volume environment with tight deadlines.
\xc2\xba Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
\xc2\xba Highly motivated with a desire to succeed and progress.
\xc2\xba Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
\xc2\xba Must possess intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and Outlook.
\xc2\xba Experience with MS Access an asset.
\xc2\xba Familiarity with using large and complex financial database systems; ability to learn inquiry functions in back office processing systems such as SIBL, T24 and CPS are assets.
\xc2\xba Demonstrated ability in core and role specific competencies including teamwork, adaptability, customer service, innovation, and detail orientation.
