Reporting directly to the Manager of Accounting & supervised by Team Lead

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Importation and validation of sub system interfaces of Newlook (Sales batch)
• Review and reconcile store sales data, and payment methods of one banner
• In charge to post journal entries of Payroll of various banners
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts, primarily cash accounts, sales Tax (GST-QST), payroll GL, Accruals, Receivables, Prepaids
• Manage full month end closure of a large banner(s)
• Manage the Fixed asset module & create Fixed Asset ID
• In charge of various Bank Reconciliations
• Prepare all monthly journal entries (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets)
• Ensures all financial data is posted to the GL
• Files GST/QST returns of banners & additional legal entities recently acquired
• Manage entries in Interco GL and to balance with other banners
• Manage the posting of Tax provision at month-end and all statements received from government
• Participate in the preparation of work files for the financial Year-end and the month-end
• Help in the process of verification of Revenu Quebec and CRA
• General ledger maintenance - fiscal period maintenance
• Reconciliation of Balance sheets accounts
• Analyses and record of undelivered sales
• Generate reports on demand

• Bachelor (an asset) or College degree in accounting or equivalent
• 4-5 years of accounting experience or similar position
• Bilingual - French and English spoken and written
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Outlook (an asset) with formulas of SumProduct, Vlookup, Pivot Tables
• Knowledge of Great Plains an asset or ERP system
• Able to meet deadlines
• Adaptability and flexibility - as company is growing strongly
• Good team spirit
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Experience in the retail sector is an asset
• Autonomous and responsible
• Ability to work under pressure and according to daily priorities
• Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
