Job Description
MLW and Co., Chartered Professional Accountants is a busy mid-sized firm of 4 partners, with two offices located in Victoria and on Salt Spring Island. We offer our clients a full range of accounting and tax services. This position is located in Victoria, standard hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with overtime expected in March and April. Hours can be negotiated based on individual circumstances. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual seeking a career in public practice.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following duties :
Preparation of corporate, personal, estate & trust tax returns Financial statement preparation Partnerships & proprietorships Bookkeeping Front desk and phone reception Other general administrative and accounting related tasks
Skills and experience required:
Ideally, Public Practice experience preferred CPA, CPA student, Accounting Technician, Bookkeeper Experience with Caseware, Profile, Sage, QuickBooks Adherence to high standards of professional and ethical conduct Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Well organized with exceptional attention to detail Able to multi-task and prioritize to meet regular deadlines
Salary to be determined on qualifications and experience. To be reviewed after 3 months.
