Job Description

Sanpra is a locally owned and operated full-service property management company. As a small and nimble team, we manage a curated portfolio of homes and apartment buildings across the Greater Victoria region.

You will manage the day to day bookkeeping and accounting of a portfolio of residential and commercial properties and will be an essential part of the core team.

Main responsibilities



Accurately record month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, complete monthly bank reconciliations, and prepare financial statements. Generate financial reports with variance analysis and cash flow assessments. Prepare monthly management reports for informed business decisions. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal standards. Assist in budget preparation, compilations, review engagements, and corporate tax returns. Support and lead year-end audit processes. Manage payroll, monthly credit card reconciliations, and vendor payments. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and outstanding payables/receivables. Update property management software with tenant information. Prepare property tax and mortgage review requirements. Work closely with the accounting team to meet deadlines and improve workflow. Handle additional projects as assigned by management.

Pre-Requisites



University degree in accounting, CPA designation, an asset Solid understanding of full cycle accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. Minimum 3 years of accounting experience including at least 1 year in a property management setting Yardi experience an asset Knowledge of accounting requirements as per BCFSA Experience with MS Office (word and excel) Excellent communication and analytical skills Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
