Job Overview:

An Entrepreneur with interests across Tech, Cannabis and Food-Service is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team. As an accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with budgeting and payroll. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, is proficient in QuickBooks accounting software and has experience in account reconciliation and analysis and preparing GST/HST and payroll tax submissions.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Assist and maintain the implementation of financial risk management strategies to safeguard the company's assets and interests. Ensure compliance with tax laws and other financial regulations. Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role Proficiency in Quickbooks accounting software Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, budgeting, and payroll processes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies or issues in financial records Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
