:We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Don Mills, Ontario. This role involves managing projects, internalizing tax functions, and contributing to the overall accounting process within our industry.Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for project/development accounting for various projects
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual corporate cash flow projection
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Prepare corporate tax returns, trust returns, T5013s, and other financial documents.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, real estate experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience with tax return preparation, including corporate returns, trust returns, and T5013 filings.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software
• Familiarity with Great Plains or Papersave is an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of detail orientation and strong organization skills
• High level of confidentiality and integrity
• Ability to work 5 days in office with minimal remote work
• Ability to fit well into the existing team's working culture
• A CPA designation is considered an asset
