Job Description


As our new Senior Accountant or Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the company\'s financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports including monthly bank reconciliations. This position involves general accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. We seek an energetic team player who enjoys working in a dynamic team and supporting business growth.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries.
  • Supporting year-end audit.
  • Maintaining a Fixed Asset Continuity Schedule and analyzing the lease liabilities.
  • Prepare schedules for recurring accruals and deferrals and amortize monthly.
  • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements, credit card statements, and intercompany general ledger accounts.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
  • Managing maintenance contracts and projects, including creation, maintenance, and invoicing.
  • Complete Accounts Payable functions such as entering bills, wire payments and cheque runs as needed.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet accounts, income statements and financial statements.
  • Managing purchase orders including creation, cancellation, and updates.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Role Requirements:
  • Accountant or Senior Accountant position is available depending on years of experience.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience.
  • 1-2 years of Audit experience.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
