Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive

Accountant

to support our Global operations. This role combines

accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting responsibilities

. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, support HR/payroll activities for all locations, and play a key role in ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities




Accounts Payable (AP):




Enter and process vendor invoices in the ERP system. Review and process employee expense claims, verifying approvals and documentation. Manage vendor payments and assist with account reconciliations and vendor statement reviews. Support payment runs in coordination with the Assistant Controller.

Accounts Receivable (AR):




Issue customer invoices and apply payments accurately. Maintain AR aging reports (NET 60-90) and monitor collections. Work with the Sales Team to support payment processes and resolve outstanding issues. Manage chargebacks, claims, and unapproved transactions. Amazon (ADF): apply payments, upload RMAs, and investigate discrepancies.

General Ledger & Reconciliations:




Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Merchant reconciliations (Shopify, Braintree, PayPal, Klarna, Moneris). Support inventory accounting (COGS postings, adjustments) and fixed asset tracking.

Month-End Support:




Prepare reconciliations, schedules, and accruals for Assistant Controller review. Assist with expense coding and financial reporting.

Cost Accounting for manufacturing:




Accurately record expenses associated with in-house production



HR & Administrative:




Provide accounting-related HR/payroll support

Qualifications & Experience




Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field. 3-4 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable; multi-currency experience is an asset. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. Experience with ERP and accounting systems.


Skills & Abilities




Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, data analysis). Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook). Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Proactive, problem-solving mindset with initiative to improve processes. Dependable, results-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. * Positive, professional, and accountable in approach.
