Clifton is currently searching for an Accountant to join the Finance Team in our Regina office. Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration, you will support full-cycle accounting across the Clifton Group of Companies, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and accounts payable and receivable. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is pursuing, or interested in pursuing, a CPA designation. With mentorship and development opportunities, you will have the ability to grow into more advanced responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities



Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and general ledger maintenance. Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and working papers working papers for internal and external audits. Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including coding, processing approvals, and collections. Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports. Prepare and file GST/PST, payroll remittances, and other regulatory filings. Complete bank and credit card reconciliations. Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with Clifton policies and accounting standards. Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support and share knowledge with junior members of the Finance Team while contributing to a collaborative work environment. Actively develop skills and take initiative in learning new responsibilities. Other related duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience



Diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. 2-3 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience; supervisory experience is an asset. Currently pursuing or interested in pursuing a CPA designation (professional development support available). Solid understanding of accounting principles, full-cycle accounting, ASPE and/or IFRS, and CRA filing requirements. Experience with month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and variance analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting or ERP systems is an asset. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in the context of work-life balance. High level of integrity with the ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
