The North Central Family Centre (NCFC) is seeking a skilled Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance. Working closely with a third-party accounting firm, this role oversees banking, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, grant tracking, and regulatory filings to support the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records using QuickBooks Online
Record donations, grants, revenues, and expenses
Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly
Process payroll, remittances, ROEs, and T4s
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare deposits and maintain organized records
Track grant revenues/expenses and prepare funder reports
Submit records for monthly financial statements and monitor budgets
Assist with grant proposals and charitable tax receipts
File PST returns, PSB rebates, and annual T3010 Charity Return
Support yearend audits and ensure compliance with CRA regulations
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the non-profit sector
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
