This is a part-time, remote, independent contractor position with flexible schedule. Digital Nomads are welcome to apply. Position Overview: The Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions, with a focus on US payroll, financial analysis, bookkeeping, and budget support. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, analytical skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy, providing valuable insights, and supporting decision-making processes within the organization. Key Responsibilities: North America Payroll/Contractor/Vendor Payments:

  • Process North American Payroll, Contractor and Vendor payments on a regular basis, in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage payroll deductions, reimbursements, and employee benefits.
Financial Analytics:
  • Conduct financial analysis, including P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow projections to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend profitable financial actions.
Bookkeeping and QuickBooks Management:
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
  • Perform regular bookkeeping tasks, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
Audit Preparedness:
  • Ensure books and financial records are well-maintained and prepared for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation as requested.
Month-end Closing:
  • Participate in the month-end closing process, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements for management review.
  • Perform thorough reviews of financial transactions and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Budget Preparation Support:
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Executive team to gather and analyze financial data for budgeting purposes.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must have experience with US and GAAP accounting principles.
  • Proven experience in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on month end processes and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks desktop is required.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
